To
preserve and to foment traditions of a real and authentic partridge drive is
one of the main objectives of El Hoyo.
To take care of every
detail and element of drives is essential: the way of beating, the beaters,
the quality of "secretarios" and loaders, placement of posts, the
"tomelot", and of course, the quality of partridges, distinguish our
drives.
Our main
objective is to offer hunters a real Spanish partridge drive; something that
we get because of our special attention to the most important element: the brave
partridges.
Season:
from October to February.
(Recommended October and November because
of better weather).
Suggestions:
-Number of hunters: 6-12.
-Number of partridges: 600-1.000.
-Cartridges: 30 grams, calibre 7 (furnished by us).
-Guns: calibre 12, with automatic ejectors.
-Loader and "secretario": furnished by us.
-Loader seat, cartridges box, "pantallas" (protection plates): furnished
by us.
-Hunter: gloves, protection glasses and protection cases.
To
get such hunting, partridges must be brave and natural. Great efforts are developed
to reach drives like these, but El Hoyo managing is aware with hunting and hunters.
Red
partridge is the real protagonist at El Hoyo. Since decades, partridge hunting
in El Hoyo have highlighted because of their character, charm and tradition.
Because
of a great extension and the diversity of stages, El Hoyo may offer to animals
their own decision to choose covering and feeding areas.
And
because partridges may move free, we are able to organise drives where the
variety of flights is considerable, similar to most typical Spanish drives.
Hunters may be able to shoot partridges flying alone, also accompanyed by
many others, flying high, also low, coming straight, coming crossed…
but all of these flights will be rapid, quick, supple and varied.
